Since a few weeks tastespotting is one of my favorite feeds. Jammy!

Because we're back in Belgium and have other obligations for a while. We're looking for people who are going to travel and want to blog it. You don't need to do it mobile, you don't have to do the geeky geotagging thing. But if you want a platform to dump your travel crap on, just mail me. A pretty funny tv report from 1993 on the emergent internet. Who could've guessed back then that it would get this big?

During the worldcup we played a game over at Pickdee. You had to predict the score of each match. At times it was pretty exciting and made a match more fun to watch. In the end a good friend of me, Frank (rkid006) won the game. Congrats. I mailed the guys over at Pickdee if they were going to expand the games. And good news, they included the Belgian Jupiler League in their games. It would be great if a brand like for example Jupiler would support Pickdee and make their own minisite around the Pickdee Jupiler League. For Pickdee I suggest providing some RSS feeds for the scoreboard and the matches, so their data can be integrated in other sites. Jupiler don't need to provide any functionality just a minisite to drive traffic to their Pickdee Jupiler League game. I believe strongly in the power of good partners in a WEB 2.0 environment.

With the world cup 2006 in Germany starting on the 9the of June, maybe it's fun to have a little competition on each match. You can't win anything you can just show of your football knowledge or luck :) ! So I stumbled upon Pickdee. It allows you to make a simple competition that everyone can join. You have to fill in the score of each match. You have time to add or change your score until the match begins. You don't need to fill in each score already. Start with the scores of the first day of the world cup: Germany vs. Costa Rica and Poland vs. Ecuador. I've created a competition over here : http://worldcup.pickdee.com/belgium/, if you want to join my little competition, sign up and join my game. Currently it is public but if you all joined I'm gonna make it private. So we can have our own cosy little competition. Be sure to give in your correct email, so I can keep you updated during the world cup. When you join the competition make a small comment who you are on Pickdee, so we know who's who. Here are some more rules from Pickdee:

Ok, here's how it works in a little more detail. Right now there's two types of game: * Simple * Bullseye With simple, you get five points for predicting the result of the game, win, lose or draw. With bullseye, you get four points for predicting win, lose or draw and an additional three points for predicting the correct score. For each game, you also pick an overall winner, if that comes up, you've earned an extra twenty bonus points. You can change your pick right up to the start of the game, or the start of the competition for the overall pick. Then after each round, the results are tallied and you get to see how everyone did. That's basically it — though there's one peculiarity with games that don't allow for draws, like the final stages of the world cup. For those, if you predict a simple draw, or a bullseye exact score draw and that's the score after normal + extra time, you score as usual. If you predict a winner or loser then its based on the overall winner, penalties and all, and there's no bonus for the correct score.
