Last week thursday and friday my classmates, including Jesse, presented their final master thesis and final thesis projects. It was a very big day for all of them, marking the end of their four year academic journey at
C-MD. During those years everyone has developed their own personal area's of interest in the wide environment of Communication & Multimedia Design and this reflects in the choice of subjects. They can broadly be placed in four research categories: social media, experience design, interactive story telling & media access.
Yesterday we received the news that all of them have passed. Way to go guys! Enjoy your holliday.

The written part of my final thesis is finally finished. Just like Jesse I spent the past four years studying Communication & Multimedia Design in Genk, Belgium.
I'm heavily interested in rich media user experiences and decided that it was a research subject I wanted to explore further. The thesis examines the role of interface metaphor in rich media web experiences.
Much research has already been conducted on interface metaphor in the light of usability. I tried to broaden these views and place interface metaphor in the domain of experience design.
